First post

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my blog. For those of you who know me, you already know that I like to travel. For those of you who don't, I like to travel, haha. I travel for work and for pleasure. Right now, obviously, travelling is a bit tougher, given the situation with COVID-19. I have been in the house, following shelter in place orders for the past 6-7 weeks. However, I've decided that I am going to travel a little. I'm going to be as safe as possible. Some travelling will be with Reese, my dog, some will be by myself. I plan on visiting parks and focusing on things like nature, which I can do while maintaining social distancing. I'm going to keep a blog of my travels, let you know where I'm going and how things went.

During this time, I also plan on talking to people about how they were affected by COVID-19. Hopefully this won't be a long part of my blog, but it's relevant to today. I'm going to stay away from anything political and just focus on the travelling. I post enough political shit on Facebook, so that won't be here.

Anyway, I plan on leaving Monday 4/5 and going on a road trip with pups. I'm still planning out the trip right now. Over the course of the summer, I hope to visit a majority of the continental US states. I plan on breaking it up into smaller trips, each time tackling a different region. My idea, which is subject to change, is the following "regions": Northeast, Southeast, Florida, Texas, Southwest, Northwest, California, Midwest, Plains states. Obviously there'll be some mixing. Louisiana and New Orleans will likely be part of Florida, Texas, or Plains states.

The first trip is going to focus on Southeast. As soon as I finalize my itinerary, I'll post it here. I'm kind of excited because the Great Smoky National Park will be opening back up while I'm on my trip, so I'll get to visit that. There are a couple of other stops that I wasn't going to be able to make that it looks like I'll be there just as they open, which is good. So, we'll see what happens.

I'll post an itinerary soon. If you are in any of the areas I'll be in and want to meet up for a social distancing picnic or to talk about anything, feel free to leave a comment or message me.

Thanks,

Chris
